We did it! We finally did it! We took a LONG road trip with a toddler! I don't know what we were afraid of...it was wonderful!!
We drove to CA for Spring Break and had a blast together. The kids got to choose our family vacation this year and this is where they wanted to go: Sea World to see Shamu (which we did and she splashed Mitchell...the rest of us were up in the top seats), Disneyland, California Adventure, Universal Studios & the beach! It was fun because we ran into several families from our ward in CO and even spent the day with the Maready family at Universal Studios! Very cool.
Some highlights: Kevin & I enjoyed re-living the joy of childhood through a 3 year old's eyes (Kevin must have bought her everything she asked for...too funny!) Madison and I had a blast being "goofy" and acting like Princesses. Mitchell was successful at talking Jack into riding the "scary" and "fast" rides. Jackson came into his own.....he got autographs of ALL of his favorite characters & even some he didn't even know (aka. Marilyn Monroe). Ali finally realized that her body isn't 20 anymore after an emergency visit to a local chiropractor because she couldn't turn her next after her very 1st roller coaster (don't ask).
Lots of unforgettable memories....Thank you, Kevin, for being so much fun & making our dreams come true!!!
