Emy Grace Turns 2
Here are some fun shots of Emy's birthday party. She was sooo in to the whole party thing this year...especially all the pretty bows! The kids decorated the dining room while she was napping, so when she woke up she climbed up to the table and started talking to her Dora plate & napkin. We love her so much and can't believe she is already TWO!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMY GRACE!

Mj the All-Star
Mitchell was chosen to participate in his league's All-Star game this weekend. He played with the best of the best, worked hard & made some new friends. The game was so exciting and came down to the wire with the East team winning by 1 point. Eventhough MJ's team lost he was thrilled to be chosen to play and was even awarded an awesome basketball dog tag with his name & jersey number engraved on it.

Visit to Snip-Its!
Today Emy Grace & I had a "spa day" at the local Snip-Its Salon. It was our first "official" hair cut & Emy was in heaven with the unlimited suckers, bubbles, toys & music. She even got her hair styled & glitter sprayed!

New Things....New Places
Emy Grace has entered in to the "discovery" phase and wakes up each morning with a quest to find something new to play with. I suppose the toys, etc.. are old hat which is fine with the exception that Mom (aka...ME) has to watch her like a HAWK!! I've never had a 2 year old with the fine motor skills of a surgeon! She can untwist nail polish, open makeup bottles, flip the tops off shampoo, turn the tightest medicine bottles & figure out how ANYTHING works & operates!
Here's just a few tame examples of her latest discoveries.....
"I've learned how to not only UNDRESS, but how to take off my diaper, climb in mom's basket of towels & PEE!!"

"Hmmmm...what is this cool thing? I think I know! It's the machine that eats up all my cookies & crackers I smash in the carpet! Cool!"
(Notice the snowboots she has on...no matter what shoes we put on for the day and no matter where I hide these snowboots, by mid-morning Emy has found them and put them on)

Grey Squirrel in Pack 365
For the past few years I have been serving in the Cub Scouts in many different capacities. Currently I am the Cub Committee Chairperson while Kevin is our pack's Cubmaster. He was called about 6 months ago and has definitely made a fun impact with the cub scouts. He has brought laughter and fun in to pack 365. Here's a little bit of what I mean...
This is Mitchell's last few months of cub scouts & it sure has been wonderful being a part of his progression. He'll be receiving his Webelos badge next month & in April he'll be awarded his Arrow of Light and then move up to Boy Scouts.

We love you Mitchell & are so proud of all your hard work & commitment to Cub Scouts!

Santa Baby
Maddie had a great time caroling with her singing group for Christmas. She and her best friend also sang for the school's talent show. Here are the two cuties in their matching glitter Santa hats...

Do, A Deer, A Female Deer...
For the past 5 years we have watched a family of deer grow and multiply in our back yard. The other day all 6 of them were hanging out together and I was able to snap a few shots.
This is the 2nd generation who just had babies this past summer...

This is the Grandpa Buck who we first saw 5 years ago...

Here are 3 of them...the Grandma and 2 babies were to the left eating...

Pa Poo takes the Wheel!
Grandpa really enjoyed Kevin's snowblower. He couldn't find enough driveways to blow, so he started on our cul-de-sac! You gotta love Denver.....all this snow and you don't even need a heavy coat!

Once there was a Snowman...
On Christmas Day we enjoyed one another and our family visiting us this year--Grandpa (or "Pa Poo" as Emy called him), Donna & Aunt Susan. It snowed ALL DAY LONG!!! It was the first time since we've lived here that it has snowed on the 25th. It made Christmas really feel like Christmas!!! We enjoyed sledding in our yard and at our BIG neighborhood hill. We found out that Emy is a TRUE Snow Bunny....after watching the big boys sledding on their tummies, head first, she yelled to do the same thing and even all alone. She laughed all day in the snow until we finally had to bring her in.....then she SCREAMED!!!
