My little artist

Emy Grace has discovered CRAYONS!!! It is the only thing she will do for more than 5 minutes at a time. Almost every morning she lays out on the floor while I check emails and colors her little heart out! She's the first of my babies to enjoy this, so I'm excited to see where it leads....

William Tell Overture for Moms

My NEW favorite video! Hope you enjoy!!

Leave it to Susan...

.....to give my little Emy her 1st experience with breasts she'll NEVER have due to her gene pool!!! This was halarious, but what was even more funny was watching Kevin's face during this moment. I just wish I could've captured his expression...."totally inappropriate!!!

Golf Time w/ the Boys

Throughout this summer Kevin, Mitchell & Jackson have been spending their Friday nights taking golf lessons. After their lessons they jumped up in their golf carts and played a round of golf practicing their new skills. The boys really enjoyed this time with their dad and they can't wait to do it again.

Lunch Time

Today Emy & I enjoyed a nice lunch with just the two of us. Now that all the kids are in school, I think Emy is enjoying her "one on one" with mom again.

She was trying so hard to pull off a grape, but couldn't do it! So, this is what she figured out all on her own.

This is sort of a long video, but I couldn't edit it.

Not as long, but you can hear how much she is "trying" to talk. I love her gibber-gabber!!

"Bubble"

Emy has only been in Mom's tub one other time with me and the jacuzzi jets were on! Last night I put Emy Grace in my tub WITHOUT the jets and this is what transpired....

First time she has ever said "bubble".....

AFTER THE BUBBLES CAME ON...

Emy Enters Nursery

I suppose it pays to serve in Primary.....because we were able to let Emy go to nursery a month early. She was sooooo ready. Had NO problem whatsoever leaving Dad, sharing toys, listening to instructions and even singing! The nursery leaders couldn't get over how "mature" she was and how much fun she was to play with. No surprise to us, though, we know how FUN she is~~ Way to go Emy, we are proud of you!

Here are some pictures before heading to church. She was actually "posing" for the camera. Are we creating a little "diva" or what???? Oh! And she does actually have hair....I am just excited that I can pull it back in pony tails so I take any opportunity I can to do it, plus she LOVES to have her hair fixed!

Grasshoppers Win the Championship Title

Saturday was Jackson's "championship" game for the season. His team, the Grasshoppers, were undefeated this season and had the best record of any team out there. We were really proud of Jack's efforts and for not giving up when he hit a slow streak. We love you Jackson!

Getting ready for the BIG GAME

One last pep talk for the team

Getting ready to run to 2nd

I missed "the hit", but got the run to 1st...

Cooling down after a HOT, HOT game in the sun!

The end of the season party! The reason we play....the trophy & team ball!!

Mitchell was just as excited for his little brother's trophy

Emy has "Jackson" Genes

Okay, funny story.....one of the things I remember from my youth about my Mammaw Jackson is this quirky little noise she would make at me when she would tuck me in the bed at night. It sort of freaked me out a little, but it was "her" thing and she thought it was a riot.

Skip to today--I was videoing Emy walking down the stairs yesterday and lo! and behold! IT WAS THE NOISE!!!!! It freaked ME out, but it was quite an accomplishment for Emy Grace. So, there you have it! Emy has Jackson family genes....right down to the creaky-door-make-me-squirm-before-bed noise!!!!

Happy 10th MJ

Mitchell turned 10 on the 7th of July and it was his turn for a big party. So, 14 boys later and a lot of racing, swimming, pushing, splashing AND eating we had succeeded at the party of the year!!!

The birthday breakfast!!!!

Look who joined in in the fun and figured out how to swim all on her own!!

Of course, we had to have a CANNONBALL CONTEST!!

Maddie & Jack's "team" Jump!!

San Diego & the 4th of July

Last week Kevin & I went to San Diego for a long weekend---boy, did we need it! It was the first time I have left Emy for that amount of time and I was a little nervous. Susan & Colby flew in to watch the kids and for some fun in Colorado. Kevin and I enjoyed the cold beach of Del Mar, shopped, did the "spa thing" & ate some amazing mexican food!

It was nice to see the San Diego Temple, too. What a beautiful place!

When we returned from our trip we loaded up the car the next morning and headed to the mountains with Susan & Colby. They all went White Water Rafting for about 14 miles! I'll have to post that picture later when we get it in the mail--you won't believe it! Jackson even went and hung on for dear life! After the rafting we visited the Hot Springs pool and rode the alpine slide. It was such a fun 4th with some of our family.

Emy's first ice cream cone!

Cub Camp 2007

Mitchell & I attended Cub Scout Camp and got to do a lot of cool things! We learned about trees, rocks, knots & animals. Mitchell learned how to load and shoot a wrist rocket, bb gun & bow. His favorite was the bb gun--he got a bullseye every single time! We have 12 boys in our Pack....definitely the cutest boys at the camp!!! Enjoy the pictures!

I Couldn't Resist...

....we had to have a bum shot--haven't had one in a while. The other night I was watering flowers and Kevin grabbed the camera and shot this video(Hence the reason the camera angel changes 1/2 way through....lack of experience). At least he tried and got some funny footage of our little water baby.

Sprinker Fun

The other night we were watering the lawn and Emy experienced what sprinklers are all about. It was funny because she even started washing her hair like she does in the tub. What a clever little girl! And by the way....she totally looks like I did when I was a baby in this picture!!!

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, NO FISH!!

Mitchell went fishing with his cub scout pack last week and had a fun time. They hiked in about a mile before getting to this location....unfortunately it was not "jumping" with fish that night. Better luck next time, sweetie!

Emy's new Game

Emy has discovered how to cover her head with her shirt......too funny!!! We laughed all night at her new little game!

Happy 12th Madison

Madison turned 12 years old on the 9th of June and was excited to be Officially out of Primary. We had a family party on the 9th with Sinful Chocolate Ice Cream cake for breakfast and a special lunch at Cheesecake Factory! On Monday she had her "real" party with 3 of her good friends. Maddie transformed the basement into "Salon de la Maddie" and did facials, manicures, pedicures while munching off the wrap & fruit bar. They had a great time!!

Maddie with her best friend, Brooke

Do you think they were having fun????

I have NO idea what "language" these gals were speaking...it was as if they transported into another country and spoke that language and I was a tourist with no idea where I was!!

Baseball Season is in Full Gear

Jackson was anxious to return home so he can play baseball! He missed the first 2 weeks of the season due to our trip, but you would've never have known this Saturday at their game. The Grasshoppers demolished the Lugnuts 17-6....of course, we are not "suppose" to keep score, but being the competitive team we are we did very secretively. Jack hit a double, double, single and stole a base & then played short stop and helped on several plays in the outfield. Yeh Jackson!!!

Emy & I were having our own "ball game" on the sidelines!

Just a Chillin'
